ABOUT Sound Garden Designs Rhododendron Nursery
Sound Garden Designs Rhododendron Nursery ymoved to it's current location in Marple, Cheshire in June 2000, having previously traded as Muncaster Castle in West Cumbria. Our plants are cultivated from seed, grafts and cuttings, resulting in an outstanding collection which includes many varieties not widely available. Much of the seed has been personally collected whilst on expeditions to such places as Yunnan and Sichuan provinces in south-west China and south-east Tibet.
Whatever size your garden there will be a Rhododendron to suit - it is a common misconception that you can not grow Rhododendrons in a small garden and one which we are more than happy to prove wrong! These magnificent plants have been enjoyed in British gardens since about 1830, many of the original plantings still exist and produce superb floral displays every year.
Within the Rhododendron family, which includes Azaleas, can be found a wide range of sizes, colours and shapes. We hope that the details and descriptions included in our catalogue, which is arranged in size groups and colours, will help you with making your selection. Please note that the catalogue should only be used as a guide, our stock does vary and you will need to check availability by contacting us.
